Green Earth is a native clay colored by small amounts of iron in magnesium. It is transparent and of low hiding & tinctorial power. Green Earth is of slight value as a body color in opaque oil painting but is highly recommended in glazes. Slow drier. A very dense creamy paint, I pack in as much pigment as the oil would allow.
