ALIZARIN CRIMSON is considered a permanent color for artist. Alizarins have a characteristic blueish undertone and are clear in transparency. Have a tendency to become deeper in shade as time passes. It is a slow drier. Great for glazing and mixes well with dark greens and blues to make rich shadows.

Excellent covering power, many shades, all brighter, stronger, finer, and more permanent than the native products. They replace the native iron oxides for most uses. Average drier. A very dense creamy paint, I pack in as much pigment as the oil would allow. This gives you a much higher quality paint, you can feel its density when holding the jar. Great for landscape painting.
